Why do I need a travel advisor?

Travel advisors allow you to make your vacation truly an escape! From the planning stages to actually being on your trip – the details are handled by Pinpoints Travel. We also have resources at our fingertips from being part of the industry. We are able to find discounts and promotional offerings that are not available to the public!

Think about booking your dream trip to the Caribbean through a large Internet site. A hurricane hits. Who do you want in your corner – a 1-800 number that doesn’t know anything about you – after you sat on hold for hours, or someone from Pinpoints Travel - who you were able to reach immediately - that knows all the intricacies of your trip and will work to get you home ASAP? (We have done this and our clients have been very thankful!!)

How much does it cost to work with Pinpoints Travel?

Zero! Pinpoints Travel is paid by whoever you book with! Did you know that every single travel related reservation you make (hotels, resorts, cars, excursions, etc.) have the price of commission for a travel advisor built into it? If an advisor is not used, that money is rolled back to the corporation. Crazy – huh? Why not use a service you are already paying for?

In some RARE instances, a planning fee may be charged. These would be for travel at the last minute, extended trips or highly intricate long term trip planning. This is very RARE!

What is a consultation with Pinpoints Travel like?

We will discuss everything from where, when, how long, who is going and of course – budget. Have a realistic budget in mind when we talk about your trip.

After all this information is gathered, Pinpoints Travel will work on a proposal and submit it to you. From here we fine tune until the perfect trip is created!

Aren’t travel agencies a thing of the past?

Far from it! Travelers are looking for service again. They want to be taken care of and are tired of doing it all. Why not take advantage of a service with no fee?

How do I pay for my trip?

We will discuss the deposit required and payment schedule when you are ready to book. Most times, final payment is due within 45 days of travel. Your credit card information will be obtained through our secure site and then payments will be made directly to the company your trip is booked through. You will never pay Pinpoints Travel directly for your travel.

Why do you not post about specials or deals?

There are truly thousands of travel specials and deals to be had. How do we pick just one? Our clients do not fit into a particular mold – everyone wants something different. Once we decide on what you want – then we will look at the best prices!

Do I have to purchase travel insurance?

No. Travel insurance is HIGHLY recommended – especially when traveling out of the country. We will discuss why when booking your trip. If you decline travel insurance after we talk, then you need to sign a waiver releasing Pinpoints Travel from any liability.
